Electrical Safety
Joint Utility Safety Team (JUST) Campaign
Almost three people make contact with overhead or underground power lines every day in Alberta, risking serious injury or death. Most electrical incidents involve excavators contacting underground utilities or large equipment and gravel trucks contacting overhead power lines.
Alberta's electric utilities have joined forces with the Government of Alberta to promote electrical safety. The JUST partnership includes FortisAlberta, AltaLink, ENMAX, EPCOR, ATCO Electric and the Government of Alberta.
